Privacy Policy

Overview

AgMechanic is a field service management tool for independent farm equipment mechanics. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Data We Collect

• Account information — name and email address when you sign up
• Business information — business name and phone number if you provide them in settings
• Job and work data — jobs, customers, equipment, parts, labor, notes, photos, and time sessions you create
• App usage — AI feature usage is logged to enforce plan limits and improve the service
• Subscription information — your tier, billing status, and renewal date when you have a paid subscription

We do not collect location data, contacts, or any data not directly entered by you. We do not store payment card or bank details — those are handled by our payment processors (see Subscriptions & Payments below).

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the AgMechanic service
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To enforce subscription plan limits
• To respond to feedback and support requests

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on self-hosted servers. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes — we cannot read your password. Photos and documents are stored in private object storage and are never publicly accessible without a share link you create.

On mobile, the app stores a local copy of your data on your device to support offline use. This local copy is removed when you log out of the app or uninstall it.

Subscriptions & Payments

AgMechanic offers paid subscription tiers. Payment processing is handled entirely by our payment partners — we never see or store your payment card or bank details.

• iOS subscriptions — billed by Apple. See Apple's privacy policy.
• Android subscriptions — billed by Google. See Google's privacy policy.

For mobile subscriptions, we use RevenueCat as a middleware service to receive normalized subscription events from Apple and Google. RevenueCat receives your AgMechanic user ID and sends us back your subscription tier, status, and renewal date. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any job data. AI Features

When you use AI features (Quick Capture, Job Analysis, Troubleshoot), relevant job and equipment details are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate a response. This may include customer names if recorded on the job, and any text you have entered in notes, descriptions, or other free-text fields. Anthropic processes this data under its API terms and does not use API customer data to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Invoices

Invoice links you create are readable by anyone with the link. They expire after the number of days you configure (default 30 days) and can be revoked at any time from the job detail page. Invoice pages are excluded from search engine indexing.

Your Rights

You can edit or delete your account data at any time within the app. To request complete account deletion, contact us at the email below. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
